X Posting Guide
At a Glance​
Ngepost lets you publish text tweets, images, videos, and threads to X (Twitter).
What you can configure from Ngepost:
- Post title
- Text format (single post or auto-split thread)
- Thread image layout
- Reply settings
- Location
- Visibility (Nullcast, Super Followers)
- Community posting
- Direct Message deep link
- Photo tags
What Ngepost cannot do for X:
- Post more than 4 images per tweet
- Post images larger than 5 MB
- Use Nullcast and Super Followers at the same time

Supported Content Types​
Text Posts​
Text-only tweets. Character limits follow X's current rules.
Image Posts​
- Max images per tweet: 4
- Max file size: 5 MB per image
- Supported formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP
Video Tweets​
Video posts with supported formats MP4, MOV, WebM, and AVI.
Threads​
Multi-tweet threads for longer content. Control image distribution across tweets using the thread image layout setting.

Title​
- Required: No
- Fallback: Uses main post content if left empty
Text Format​

Thread Image Layout​
Controls how images are distributed across tweets in a thread.
- Format: Comma-separated numbers (e.g.,
4,4) - Each value: 0–4
- Total must equal the number of media files
- If empty: auto-distributed in groups of 4

Reply Settings​

Additional reply options:
- Reply to Tweet ID: Create a reply to a specific tweet by its numeric ID
- Exclude Users from Reply: Prevent specific users from replying (requires Reply to Tweet ID)
Location​
- Provide an X Place ID to tag your tweet with a location
Visibility​

| Super Followers Only | Exclusive to your Super Followers |
Nullcast and Super Followers cannot be used together. Enabling Nullcast overrides Super Followers settings.
Community​
- Community ID: Post to a specific X Community
- Share with Followers: Optionally make the community post visible in your main feed
Direct Message Link​
- Provide a URL that opens a DM conversation from your public tweet
- Useful for customer support or private follow-ups
Photo Tags​
- Comma-separated user IDs
- Max 10 users per image
Analytics​
Ngepost tracks the performance of your X posts.
Usage Tips​
- Keep images under 5 MB to ensure successful uploads
- Use thread image layout when posting more than 4 images
- Use reply settings to control conversations on sensitive posts
- Add location for local content engagement
- Mix content types (text, images, videos, threads) for variety
Troubleshooting​
