Threads Posting Guide
At a Glance​
Ngepost lets you publish text posts, images, videos, carousels, and multi-post threads to Threads.
What you can configure from Ngepost:
- Post title
- Media layout (distribution of media across thread posts)
- Topic tag
What Ngepost cannot do for Threads:
- Post videos longer than 5 minutes
- Post videos larger than 512 MB
- Post images larger than 10 MB
- Post more than 10 items per carousel
- Use topic tags with periods or ampersands
- Add more than one topic tag per post

Supported Content Types​
Text Posts​
Text-only updates, announcements, and thoughts.
Image Posts​
Single images supporting JPG, PNG, and GIF formats.
Video Posts​
- Max duration: 5 minutes
- Supported formats: MP4, MOV
- Max file size: 512 MB
Carousels​
Swipeable posts containing multiple images or videos.
- Max items: 10
- Supports mixing images and videos
Thread Posts​
Multi-post threads for longer-form content. Each post in the thread can contain text and media.
Post Settings​
Title​
- Required: No
- Fallback: Post content used as title if left empty
Media Layout​
Controls how media files are distributed across multiple posts. Useful when you have more than 10 media items or want specific media groupings.
- Format: Comma-separated numbers (e.g.,
5,5) - Each value: 0–10
- Total must equal the number of media files uploaded
- If empty: media is auto-distributed in groups of 10

Topic Tag​
A single tag to categorize your post and improve discoverability.
- Max length: 50 characters
- Cannot contain periods (.) or ampersands (&)
- Only one tag per post
Analytics​
Ngepost provides analytics for your Threads posts:

Usage Tips​
- Write compelling openings — the first few words determine whether people keep reading
- Use visuals (images and videos get more engagement)
- Use both topic tags and hashtags for maximum discoverability
- Post when your audience is most active
- Use the scheduling feature to plan posts in advance
Troubleshooting​
